Why compete in the CrossFit Games Open?

You may have noticed a few of our athletes training to compete in the CrossFit Games Open. Some of our daily WODs have both an RX and a “games weight” specified. These folks doing the games weight WODs to help them prepare for the Open. These athletes are also are preparing through several other different training methods. Some may be doing additional short 7 or 8-minute AMRAP WODs during the week, some are doing strength training, others are focusing on diet, while others are doing a combination of all of those.

But the question is why should YOU compete in the open? First off, it’s a great way to measure yourself. Each year you can not only see how you rank against CrossFitters from around the world in your age bracket, but you can see your own improvement. Need more reasons? You may decided you want to participate in the open after all. Registration begins January 30th!
